Man who is charged with shooting Greenville on Sunday afternoon

Greenville, NC (Witn) -A man from Greenville will face several charges after the police stated that he shot another man on a Driveby shooting on Sunday afternoon.

Avion Davis is charged with an attempted first degree murder, with a fatal weapon with the intention of killing, causing serious injuries and releasing a firearm from a housing to scare.

The police say that the shootout occurred around 2:15 p.m. in the Greenville Motel at the South Memorial Drive. You say Kareem Lenzy was shot into the chest. The 52-year-old man is expected to survive, says the police.

A witness gave the police a detailed description of the car and the police could find it with the nearby traffic cameras.

The police stopped the car on the memorial drive near the Stantonsburg Road and captured Davis.

After a search of a house in the Dudley Street, the police said that she found a gun from which she believed that she was used at the shootout and Davis was then charged.

The man is held in a bond of 1 million US dollars.
