Man who set fire to his father's fiancee

Hamilton, Ohio – The man who defeated a woman in Butler County in 2023 and shone on fire will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of probation, a judge decided on Thursday.

Robbi Robinson was found guilty

The jury recommended life in prison last week without probation – although the death penalty was on the table in this case.

During the conviction phase, Robinson made himself with words of remorse, abandonment claims and a shocking claim before dealing with the jury to save his life.

During Robinson's daily legal proceedings, the prosecutors made witnesses from almost a dozen witnesses as well as DNA, video and audio recordings beforehand to convince the committee of 12 men and women who planned and committed Robinson's crime.

“The state presents them that the accused filled his anger in the form of non -easy liquids at that time.” He set it on fire. He set the house on fire. “

Robinson's defender, David Brewer and Lawrence Hawkins III, decided not to present.

“We had no questions for most witnesses. This will be the topic in the final argument, ok?” Brewer told the jury last week during the final arguments. “There are facts – facts and evidence. There are interpretations of these facts and arguments. There are plans to give these facts and these interpretations and these arguments at a later date. What we want is this part of this case that we end, and as such we have nothing more at this point.”

The defense focused on the conviction phase and called three from Robinson's family members to the stand as well as a forensic psychologist who evaluated Robinson during his time and believes that he has a border service disorder.

Before Robinson made his explanation, his younger sister and mother testified to ask the jury. The former, Zaria Robinson, told the jury that she loved her brother and didn't want him to get the death penalty.

Renee Robinson repeated her daughter's request, but shared more with the jury. She described her youngest son as a cute child who “would not hurt a fly”. She said Robinson was loved and looked after and had a close relationship with his brothers and Zaria as a child.

Renee said her marriage problems with his father Robbi Robinson Sr. had negatively influenced her son. Robinson hopped between her place and his father's house in the years before the incident of 2023, but Renee said that her alienated husband had started to distance himself from Robinson.

Renee told the jury that she believed that her son has problems with mental health and that she has the feeling that she failed him and did not see the “red flags”. Robinson experienced several violent family interactions as a child for whom he was never advised. She said that her son deserves the death penalty and hopes that he will receive life with the possibility of probation.

During his almost 10-minute plea, Robinson leaned the image of a loving life at home that his mother had painted. Apart from his love for Zaria, Robinson said that he feels neglected by his family.

“I wish my family spent more time with me. I have the feeling that they would have left me and I felt alone for a long time. I've been in prison since May 11, 2023. I have spoken to two of my family members.

Robinson's family members went out of the courtroom when he sat on the witness stand.

“I wish I had a connection to my brothers. My mother was up here and said it was a good connection. I never had a good connection to you,” said Robinson. “They had a problem with my father and they somehow took it out and just left me alone. 'Because I have nothing to do with my father or his relationship with them … you know my father was just not a good man for me. He was just not a good man.”

During her certificate, Renee said when she was disappointed, how he treated her son in the later years, Robinson Sr. was a good father for her children when she grew up. Renee also said she and other family members tried to visit Robinson in prison, but he didn't want it to be “too difficult for him”.

Robinson held an almost bored and indifferent appearance during his murder proceedings, often leaned his head in his hand and shared a few words with his lawyers. At the stand he apologized to the jury and Scott's family.

“I have made a bad decision, but I'm not a bad person. I'm sorry for Brenda Scott's family. I know that it is difficult, but if you find it on the ground of your heart to forgive me, I'm sorry … Even if I could exchange my own life to bring back (Scott), I would really do it from my heart,” said Robinson. “I know that I have to be punished and I take responsibility for my actions. I'm sorry. Please save my life. Please give me a judgment of life. All I want is to see my little sister again, even if it takes 25, 35, 45, 50 years. Everything I want is to see my little sister and share moments with her.”

Robinson also made an allegations that had never heard in this case. The prosecutors could not question him because he was not under oath, but Robinson's claim was not supported by any evidence that was presented during the process.

“I was not happy in May 2023. I was not satisfied with my family. I was not happy with my life situation. I was not glad that Brenda had a sexual relationship with me and I was really not happy and I reacted,” said Robinson. “I was immediately regretted. That's why I tried to bring out the fire with the fire extinguisher.”
