Man who was arrested in clendenin shot examination

Clengenin, W.Va. (Wsaz) – MPs of the Sheriff department of the Kanawha County examine a shooting incident in Clendenin, in which a man was injured on Friday evening.

According to a release of the Kanawha County's sheriff office, the incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in the Morris Creek Road.

The deputies found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the thigh when they arrived on site. He was taken to the hospital with non -life -threatening injuries.

Rex Olive, 56, was detained later on Friday evening. He was charged with a willful risk because of four cases of crimes.

According to the Sheriff department of the Kanawha County, Olive and the victim were involved in an argument, “supposedly from an ongoing neighborhood dispute”, which escalated into the shootout.
