Man who was charged with attempted murder after shot Danville Officer: Officials

Danville, Va. (WSET) – According to officials, a man was arrested after shooting a police officer in Danville.

On Monday, February 17th, 47-year-old Lucas Jason Degier was interviewed as a suspect in an accident by Hit-and-Run when officials said he had shot a police officer in Danville.

Officials say that Degier was charged with attempted capital murder.

Degier was flown to the Duke University Hospital to treat his wounds.

Degier is recorded in NC and is delivered to Virginia to put the shootout in court.

Virginia State Police says that she will not have any further comment on the shootings.

After the investigation, the officials say that the results for the decision will be handed over to the DANVILLE law firm.
