Man who was killed in the suspicious motorhome fire in Merced County

The authorities identified a man who died in a suspicious fire in his motorhome in Le Grand at the beginning of this month.

Merced County, California (KFSN) – The authorities identified a man who died in a suspicious fire in his motorhome in Le Grand at the beginning of this month.

According to the Merced County Coroner's Office, 54-year-old Rodney Lefler owned the leisure vehicle, which caught fire in the night of March 7 shortly before 11:30 a.m.

They used dental records and a forensic test to make a positive ID.

The deputies of the sheriff and the investigators of the arson are still working through the details, including the use of whether acceleration have been used and how the fire may have started.

Anyone who can do Lefler or has information about this case is asked to call the Sheriff office of the Merced County.
