Man who was sentenced to shoot and killed a woman at home on Brandon

Rankin Co., Miss. (Wlbt) – A man from Brandon was convicted of murdering his wife.

On January 27, 2024, 36 -year -old Tyler Gorrell was taken into custody after 9 a.m. after the Brandon police responded to his CrossGates -subdivision house with a “random death” sound.

When the officials arrived at the scene, the investigators found that his wife Carri Gorrell, 38, had died of an obvious gunshot wound.

He was charged with murder and later received a bond of 2,050,000 US dollars for the murder of his wife, together with the possession of a controlled substance that manipulated or prompted the youth to take a crime commit.

On Tuesday, Madison and Rankin Counties' district prosecutor Bubba Bramlett announced that Gorrell became guilty in a controlled substance due to murder and trade second degree.

During the examination, the police from Brandon found that Gorrell was with drugs at that time, and they removed several medication from the house, including a large amount of lysergic diseasehylamide.

The Brandon man will serve in prison for 30 years without being possible early.
