Man who was shot in Lee County

A suspect is in custody after a shootout in Lee County at the end of the last month.

Sheriff Jay Jones tells Action 8 News that the shootout took place on February 25 at 11:32 p.m. in the 200 block of Lee Road 375 in the Valley community.

When his MPs arrived, they found an adult man who was in the courtyard who blew with the arms. The victim had visible injuries to the upper body, leg, arm and hand on his right side.

The victim told the MPs that after an argument that night he was shot by his neighbor to a neighbor.

The victim was brought to the Piedmont Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia, to be treated for his injuries.

On Thursday on Thursday, the MPs say that a Valley man approved the shootout.

The 46-year-old Jerry Franklin Jacobs was arrested by Lee County investigators and brought to Lee County's prison.

Jacobs was charged with the first degree for assault and later published after making a bond of 50,000 US dollars.
