Man who was wounded in Little Rock Shooting

A man was injured at a shootout in Little Rock on Monday, where two houses were also hit by shots, the police said.

At around 12:55 p.m., the officials responded to a report on a shootout in the Fillmore Street and found that the shootout actually exceeded a street in which shots met in 1321 and 1325 S. Pierce St. Häuser, according to a police report on the police incident.

Two men drove to the scene and told the officials that they had taken Byron Hubbard (39) from Little Rock and his girlfriend to the Uams Medical Center after Hubbard was shot into the right thigh and the right hand, the report said.

The report does not say whether the woman has suffered injuries. She and Hubbard live in the 1321 S. Pierce Street.

A witness told the police that he saw four men in a silver Toyota Camry Open Fire in the 13th Street and then drove away. The police found blood on the front of the house in 1321 S. Pierce St., a bullet hole in the roof and a weapon near the blood, the report says.

The officials found a second weapon over two houses in the north and found that the house in the S. Pierce St. 1325 had also been hit, but could not contact an owner or resident there, the report said.

At the time of the shootout there was a minor in the house in the 1321 S. Pierce St., the report says.

One of the men who brought Hubbard and his girlfriend to the hospital, Deshawn Alexander, 22, from Conway, suspected Marijuana in his person, the report says, but the report does not show whether the police arrested him or not, and he did not appear in court files or in the online infestation of the Pulaski County Jail on Tuesday afternoon.
