Man with several crimes that are on record do not guilty for the recent BC crimes.

Elmer Lewie Branscum was a teenager when he received his first crime.

The 39-year-old Branscum, who lists an address in Calico Rock, was released on March 10 in front of the Baxter County Circuit Court and was not guilty in this district.

He is accused of having stolen a vehicle and then fleeing the authorities after he was discovered several times with the stolen truck and the trailer.
The incident began when the deputies of the sheriff reacted to the report of a stolen truck and trailer at an address in the Push Mountain Road on February 10th.

The truck was later spotted in the Bosswell Road in Izard County with Branscum. It was then seen in Calico Rock minus the trailer.
The trailer was abandoned by the US Forest Service in Baxter County.

When Izard County's deputies discovered the truck on February 11th, they began to follow the vehicle. Baxter County's MPs joined the chase and spike strips were used in County Road 74. Branscum hit the spikes at a high speed that blowing both front tires and causing him to lose control of the truck. The chase ended with his arrest.

Court files show that Branscum opened a total of 22 criminal matters in the counties Baxter, Cleburne, Izard and Stone. The first two cases in Branscum were opened in Izard County in July 2004 and the last in February. In his first case, Branscum was charged with several counterfeits and a number of terrorist threats.

The charges raised against Branscum included theft of property, burglary in residential areas, counterfeits, theft by preserving, a criminal in possession of a weapon, the escape, the possession of drugs, an intensified attack by a first aider, terrorist threats and house battery.
Many of the cases contain several counts.

He was also accused of having a weapon at least three times. At some point, Branscum was placed in a rehabilitation facility in Newport. He was inscribed in a 12-month program, but only lasted four months.

According to a letter from the treatment facility, Branscum was triggered

Branscum has been included in the Baxter County prison with $ 36,000 since February 11th.

His latest charges in Baxter County include two cases of theft of property, theft by preserving, escape, violation of probation, a habitual criminal and a variety of traffic offenses.

He has active cases in Izard County, including one in which he stole a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe, who belonged to his brother, on February 8th.
