Mansfield Senior Football is still looking for the Cheffußball coach

Mansfield – The latest failure of the Mansfield City School's financial crisis wrote on the sporting side.

On Tuesday evening, Mansfield Senior Athletic Director Jack Soliday gave an update about the search for the next boss soccer coach. Due to the latest budget cuts, it can take a while for a rent.

“It was the advice of the lawyers of the school authority that at that time we could not hire anyone until the entire Rif positions (reduction in violence) are completed and filled,” said Soliday. “So we can't hire anyone who at this time fills our position of the coach of the chief football coaching.”

It is planned to publish the position of the Varsity football coach on March 31. At this point, the Rif positions are found. In the second week of April there will be another round of interviews, and then an attitude must be made. Until then, co -trainers will continue with strength training. If a setting is made, this can be a seamless transition.

“We are pleased to have two of the co -trainers who continue to carry out our weight dream program in Coach (Antonio) Fletcher and Coach (Chioke) Bradley Jr.,” said SoliDay.

Chioke Bradley Sr. resigned on December 9 as Head Football coach as the most victorious coach in the program history. The position was published and the interviews were carried out with seven candidates last week with the idea of making an assignment this week.

After the meeting of the Special School Board on February 24, in which the school council members voted during a special meeting for the elimination of almost 40 teaching positions and more than a dozen administrative jobs that are effective in summer, it was pointed out that the football coach search was led Will be in the queue.

“We had seven candidates, four internal and three external, and they are some good ones,” said Soliday. “We limited it, but unfortunately we cannot do an employment at this time. We will start over, but we would like to have those who have applied for re -evaluation.”

The money for coaching content is a piece of the total costs of a school, but with the situation of the Mansfield City School, every penny counts.

“It comes from the education committee as an additional income,” said Soliday. “It is 22% of the basic content of a teacher in the first year. This applies to head coach in football and boy and girls basketball.”

The Tyger can start with spring practice on May 15th. The summer time ends on July 31 and on the first day of official training from August 1st.
