Maricopa Shooting lets 1 officer injured

Phoenix -The police left Body Cam film material and the identity of the suspect, who died during a shootout on Thursday afternoon, in which a Maricopa officer was injured.

Keith Tyler Prock, 38, had outstanding arrest warrants, a violent crime story and was known as part of a large gang, said a spokesman for the sheriff office of the Pinal County.

Prock was seen as he left a circle k Convenience Store in Maricopa shortly before 2:50 p.m. when the officials borrowed from him and tried to flee according to the police.

A second officer returned the fire when Prock continued to ran and shot on both officers.

Two detectives arrived as a backup in a car that was not marked. The detective, who was sitting in the passenger seat, replied the fire when Prock was hit by the car at the same time, the police said.

Prock was declared dead at the crime scene.

According to the police, the injured officer remains in a serious but stable state.

An official from the Maricopa Police Department and both detectives were transferred to the administrative leave paid, which is a standard procedure.

Both officers were equipped with body cameras that were activated during the incident.

“This incident is reminiscent of a strong memory of the dangers from which our officials are confronted every day to protect our community. Our department is like a family. When one of us is injured, we all feel it. Fortunately, our officer survived and her forecast is positive. However, they suffered serious injuries that will take time to heal, ”said Mark Goodman, police chief of Maricopa.
