Match Recap: Chicago Fire FC II deserves 1-0 against Toronto FC II 1: 0

Bridgeview, sick. ((March 13, 2025) -Chicago Fire FC II (1-1-0-0, 3 points) from the FC II of Toronto (1-1-0-0, 3 points) on Thursday evening in the Seatgeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. The defender of the Chicago Fire Academy Bryce Richards scored his first goal in MLS Next Pro, while goalkeeper Patrick Los scored his first clean sheet in 2025 and fifth in his career.

The hostilities were limited in the first half when the two sides were bordered on each other. In the 20th minute, Claudio Cassano was fouled right in front of the box. The Italian midfielder made a free kick over the wall, which was just hit the line by Toronto goalkeeper Adessa de Rosario.

In the 43rd minute, a set of Toronto led to a shot by Charles Sharp from Toronto, which was just tipped away by Los. Midfielder Michael Sullivan fell just a few meters from the goal, but off you went on a savings plan to hold out the shutout at the end of half.

The script continued on a cool evening in Bridgeview, but when the full -time approached, the Chicago attack went to work. In the 83rd minute, Jhoiner Montiel went skillfully to Diego Konincks in midfield, who immediately passed Peter Soudan on the wing. The right back was looking for runners in the long post and sent a ball over the gate that rushed Richards into the goal. The defense lawyer went into an open goal to finally drive the fire as the defense against limited opportunities for the visitors.

Next match: The Chicago Fire FC II will get a road trip with two games against FC Cincinnati 2 on Sunday, March 30th, in the NKU Soccer Stadium in Highland Heights, Ky. The first kick is planned for 3 p.m. CT and the match stream begins five minutes earlier on the MLS season pass on Apple TV.
