It's time to dance.

The first of 68 teams that take part in the NCAA tournament for men in 2025 will soon kick on the ground. March Madness officially begins on Tuesday with two first four matchups when eight teams fight for the last four places in the 64 round of the bracket.

The first four matchups consist of the four automatic qualifications players the lowest seeds and the four at the lowest AT-large teams. The matchups were added to the NCAA tournament format of men in 2011.

When are the first four?

The first four of the men will be played on Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19.

  • No. 16 Saint Francis against No. 16 Alabama St.
  • No. 11 North Carolina against No. 11 San Diego St.

The first four winners come to the first round of the NCAA tournament.

The winner of the San Diego St. and North Carolina will play in the South Miss No. 6 Ole Miss.

The winner of the Alabama St. and Saint Francis plays in the southern region No. 1 Auburn.
