McDonald's celebrates the 50th anniversary of Egg McMuffin with 1-day promotion NBC Chicago

The egg prices may remain high nationwide, but those who have a taste for the most famous fast food breakfast items are lucky thanks to a one-day campaign by McDonald's in Chicago.

Sunday, March 2, marks “National Egg McMuffin Day”, with the chain celebrating the 50th anniversary of the legendary breakfast menu item, which originally debut in 1975.

Only on Sunday will the egg McMuffin or the sausage McMuffin be available with egg for only 1 US dollar, exclusively via the McDonald's app.

While the special offer can only last a day, a separate campaign from March 3 to 30 offers a Bogo sausage McMuffin with egg if it is ordered via McDonald's app via McDonald's app.

In addition, Bagel sandwiches such as bacon, eggs and cheese and steak, Egg & cheese are available nationwide in restaurants.
