The elections for the Glencoe Park Board, the Library Council and the Education Committee of District 35 are undisputed, whereby all candidates earn the confirmation of the Glencoe Caucus.

Three incumbents, of four candidates, run for the re -election to the library authority, while all three candidates for the Park Board are newcomers. An incumbent and three newcomers form the candidate pool for the school authority.

Glencroe Park Board

name: Nicole Reifman

Professional experience: Lawyer

Community experience/commitment: Nicole lived with her husband Bobby in Glencoe for 12 years. You have three daughters in the seventh, fifth and second class. Nicole was a member of the Efficiency Committee of the Glencoe Park District and the AD-HOC Design Review Committee of the Glencoe Golf Clubhouse.

Why are you running for this public office?

The district of Glencoe Park has made so much available to my family through its unique green rooms, facilities and programs over the years, and I would like to help to further improve the community through its parks and recreational offers.


Name: Jaqueline Avitia-Guzman

Professional experience: Financial manager

Why are you running for this public office??

Hello. I would like to introduce you to Jackie Avitia-Guzman.

Jackie and her husband moved to Glencoe in 2015. You have a seventh grader and a new Trier graduate (class from 2024) who studies engineering on the east coast. Jackie's financial manager with over 20 years of experience is professionally.

Jackie wants to be a board member of the Glencoe Park district because she believes that this is a valuable capital for the community that offers a variety of options and advantages. She strives to use her corporate and financial experience to guide and support the mission of the parking district.


name: Gary Hazan

Professional experience: I have been working in the Parks and Recreation industry for 38 years. My first jobs were children's sports programs in the JCC and in the Skokie Park District. After I had improved my skills, I started my own business and played the players sport and social group. My business runs adult sports leaves and served almost 2 million recreational athletes. I spent my entire career in and around parks.

Community experience/commitment: I trained almost all of my children's sports teams, including baseball, football and hockey. I spent countless hours in the Glencoe Parks. I was also a member of the Glencoe Bike Race and Block Party and the Watt/Weinberg Advisory Committee.

Why are you running for this public office?

I wanted to return the parking system that gave my children so much. I feel that my extensive professional experience in the parks and the leisure area offer me a unique series of skills and knowledge that I can bring to the board.


Glencoe Library Board

name: George Krafciscin (incumbent)

Professional experience: Healthy and safety advice, teaching, non -profit management advice

Community experience/commitment: Moved to Glencoe over 30 years ago. I worked in the Glencoe Sustainability Task Force and contributed to the Glencoe Sustainability Vision Plan. I have also been a trustee of the Glencoe Public Library for over two years.

Why are you running for this public office?

I am candidates for another scattering mate for library to help the library to serve the community in the future. Our biggest task is the renovation of the old building and adding functions that make it an estimated community resource.

Professional experience: Technology sale

Community experience/commitment: Former member of the Glencoe Baseball Association Board
• Serve as commissioner of the Glencoe Park District 2009-2015 President for one year, treasurer for three. Then served another 10 months to complete the term of the term of another commissioner.

Why are you running for this public office?

I love the public library from Glencoe and look at it for an important part of village life. I would like to play a role in the management of his future. It is an exciting time for the library.


Name: Nan Weiss-Ham (incumbent, appointed 2023)

Professional experience: Former consultant for corporate and marketing research analytics; Pedagogue (foreign language, library and relatives)

Community experience/commitment: Current/former trustee of the public library of Glencoe, PTA/PTO management (District 35, New Trier High School), League of voters Commitment, social service and educational examinations; Previous school authority for school authorities/Search Caucuses; Personal of the referendum committee and related initiatives.

Why are you running for the re -election to this public office?

As a current (and former) trustee of the library, together with my professional and educational background, I am determined to support the Glencoe Public Library as a leading community resource for everyone.

In particular, I am running for the Glencoe Public Library board of trustees to maintain access to resources, materials and technology for lifelong learning and enrichment. contribute to the community partnership; And to be a lawyer for innovation.


Name: Michael Pope (incumbent)

Professional experience: Process lawyer for 48 years, now in retirement

Community experience/commitment: Long-time supporter of the library and writer theater. Currently active in the Glencoe planning commission

Why are you running for this public office?

The library is one of the jewels of our village. I would like to support it by serving on the board.


Glencoe District 35 School Authority

name: Hamilton Hill

Professional experience: lawyer

Community experience/commitment: I was previously in non -profit committees, volunteered for political campaigns and in general to get involved with my community.

Why are you running for this public office?

I decided to run for the Glencoe School board because we have a wonderful school district, and I wanted to do my small part to keep it strong. I have two children in public schools in Glencoe, and I thought it was a good way to give part of my time and help a district that does so good things for our children. My mother was a long -time teacher and administrator, so I have a feeling how much work, care and wisdom go into the management of great schools.


name: Enna Allen (incumbent)

Professional experience: Marketing manager with over two decades of experience in experience in the commitment of the audience, the use of cultural trends and the creation of innovative programs that improve the brand effect.

Community experience/commitment: Enna has been a member of the Glencoe D35 school authority for four years. In front of this role she worked on the PTO for D35 and Glencoe Junior Kindergarten. She is currently part of the new Trier Senior Grad Party Committee and is organizing an unforgettable celebration for students.

Why are you running for the re -election to this public office?

As a long-standing resident and parent of a D35 graduate and a future graduate, I am deeply committed to the success of our schools and community. My background in marketing in combination with my passion for education has headed my service in the school authority since 2021. I am proud to work for guidelines that improve educational results for all students, support our teachers and employees and strengthen the commitment of the community. My experience and commitment will guarantee strategic planning, financial responsibility and a strong future for District 35.

Why are you running for this public office?

As a pedagogue, I understand the value of a highly functioning board, which works in cooperation with the school community, and I am excited to bring my experiences and knowledge to the school authority of district 35. I am excellent in cooperation, problem solving and supporting the implementation of strategic plans. I appreciate all the moving parts that make Glencoe a wonderful place to live, and I would like to give my community back a little with the service at our schools and Glencoe families.

Professional experience: Teacher

Community experience/commitment: I lived in Glencoe for six years. My family and I attend many events from the community and Glencoe school, and I am an active member of the district 35 pto. I also work in the Glencoe community as a senior teacher at the JCC at Am Shalom.

Why are you running for this public office?

With three small children who participate or visit in District 35, I have a personal interest in preserving and improving the quality of public education in Glencoe.

I am a great creditor of public education. I see it as a fair and integrative educational option. In addition, it anchor new growth in a community and offers a wide range of services and advantages that go beyond academics.
