Mental Health Day: WSCO organizes the event in cooperation with PS I love you day | News, sports, jobs

The Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) organized on February 10th in cooperation with PS.

The event was open to the public and aimed to offer the community information and resources for mental health and wellness.

PS I love you day is a registered non -profit organization that is devoted to the elimination of the stigma associated with mental health.

The mission of the non -profit organization is to promote hope and build up a community in which everyone is hugged, appreciated and supported. PS I love you day is celebrated every second Friday in February.

The event consisted of around 200 participants, including 20 different providers of mental health and community organizations, including the Washington County Behavioral Health Board, integrated services for behavioral health, memorial health systems, the South Heating Ohio Counseling, the Suicide Awareness Alliance of Washington County, the right way for Washington County and House of Hope of Hope of Washington County.

The providers and community organizations present discussed mental health services and general information on mental wellness.

The WSCO worked closely with the Ohio program for security and mental health of the campus, which college gave college with scholarships to support the event.

Annaleise Fisher, ed., LPCC-S, manager for suicide prevention and health promotion at the Ohio Program for Campus Safety and Mental Health, emphasized the positive effects of the event on WSCO students.

“The PS I Love You Event at WSCO was well organized and the topic was incredibly touching. It was so encouraging to see that such a large number of students were present, which made it clear that initiatives to dismay mental health in students! It was clear to me that WSCO is dedicated to the support of mental health and the well -being of his campus community. “ said Fisher.

Kathy Temple-Miller, dean of the student at WSCO, hopes that the event emphasized the importance of mental health in a safe and inviting environment.

“PS I love you, you have created a warm and integrative space in which students and members of the community really felt welcome. With free and reduced resources, fresh flowers on the door and a room with smile and support, the event was a nice memory that nobody is alone. “ said Tempelmiller.
