Meta's leak problem only cost 20 employees, whereby further witnesses are expected

What has happened right now? About a month after Meta -CEO Mark Zuckerberg complained about corporate leaks, around 20 employees were released because they supposedly quit confidential information, and it sounds like further terminations are followed. Exactly what the leaks bring with them is unclear.

Zuckerberg emphasized the problem of corporate leaves during an all-hand meeting last month. Ironically, his rant was leaked online almost immediately.

“We really try to be open and then everything I say is leak. It's shit,” said Zuckerberg.

“I think there are a number of things that are valuable destruction that I will not talk about,” he added. “Maybe nature is to lead a society of this size. But it's a bit of a crap.”

Meta said that the employees who discovered that they have leaked information would be released. Now the verge reports that “about” 20 workers have lost their work because they ignored the warning.

“We tell the employees when they have joined the company and we offer regular memories that it is against our guidelines to violate internal information, regardless of the intention,” Meta told the publication. “We recently carried out an investigation in which around 20 employees have ended to share confidential information outside the company, and we assume that there will be more. We take this seriously and will continue to take measures if we identify leaks.”

The Chief Technology Officer from Meta, Andrew Bosworth, said the company was about to identify the leaks at the beginning of this month.

Meta has changed the elements of his meetings to try to alleviate the expiring problem. Employees can no longer vote on which questions about Zuckerberg are asked – the CEO answered those with the most votes. The comment area in the live presentations has also been deactivated and questions that are classified as potentially problematic are now skipped. Zuckerberg also said he would be less transparent due to the leaks.

The increase of the leaks at Meta seems to be associated with Zuckerberg's growing relationships with Donald Trump in recent months. In December, the company donated $ 1 million for Trump's drive fund and Zuckerberg's end of Meta Dei programs, the removal of facts from third-party third-party providers and the return of the censorship were regarded as a appeasement for the president.

Zuckerberg was one of the many technical managers who quickly congratulated Trump on his election victory. But the couple had a tense relationship in the past. Facebook banned Trump for two years shortly after the uprising of January 6th in 2021. Trump has also described Facebook as the enemy of the people, accused Zuckerberg of having planned against him during the 2020 elections and said that he would “spend the rest of his life in prison” if he ever did it again.

Meta recently confirmed that it had approved a plan to increase the bonuses for its managers by up to 200% of their basic salary. This happens when the company contains 5% of its workforce or 4,000 people.

In other Meta messages, the company apologized yesterday for an “mistake” that flooded the roles with violent and pornographic content.
