Mexican citizen with a long criminal history in San Antonio arrested

In San Antonio, a Mexican citizen who was convicted of assault and robbery was arrested for illegal entry into the United States, said Federal Officials on Thursday.

According to Margaret Leachman, the incumbent US lawyer for the western district of Texas, agents of the US Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force Pedro Ruiz-Cisneros. Ruiz-Cisneros is charged with illegal re-occurrence. If he is convicted, he could be sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Federal court files show that Ruiz-Cisneros was excluded from the United States five times between 1994 and 2018.

According to the state and federal court documents, Ruiz-Cisneros was convicted in Bell County in 1990 for a second degree in Bell County and sentenced to five years in prison. Less than a year later, he was convicted of a fatal weapon in Bexar County for serious physical injury and sentenced to eight years in prison.

Between 2007 and 2016, Ruiz-Cisneros was sentenced twice for illegal re-occurrence and, according to the Federal Court of Justice, was sentenced to a combined total of 11 years in the federal prison.
