Microsoft changes the Windows 11 start menu for the better (after quick) and leads new file approval options when introducing NIFTY

Windows 11 has a new preview building with some intelligent additions
One of them is a fresh piece of the interface to facilitate the file release
The other is a few nice new layouts for part of the start menu

Windows 11 should receive some useful changes to the interface, one of which facilitates the release of files, and the other leads to sophisticated new layout options for the start menu.

These movements are currently testing in order to be in Windows 11's Build 22635,4950 exactly in the beta channel.

The new menu for release files is displayed on the top of the screen when you pull a file out of a folder on the desktop, and has a series of symbols such as WhatsApp, my phone, Microsoft team, etc. Let the symbol fall, it is immediately released via this medium.

For the start menu, this change corresponds to the “All Apps” page, which, as the name suggests, lists all your apps, whereby the new options here are the network and category view.

As in the standard list view, the grid view adheres to an alphabetical order of your apps, except that you can adapt more apps with the grating layout, with the layout that is extended to the side. Therefore there are fewer scrolls (see picture see picture below).

Another alternative is the category view, in which your apps are divided into different categories and ordered according to the usage levels. For example, there are social apps or productivity or entertainment apps, a whole series of categories in which you can immerse yourself, whereby your most frequently used apps are highlighted in a box with your symbols (look at the picture below).

This function is still being expanded so that not every tester will see it (and it comes to the development buildings and the beta channel).

For this preview -build, this is fairly the right thing for accessibility with the file explorer, with improved support for scaling files with open or saving dialog fields (and also with dialogue fields of the assistant) a further addition to improved support for the size of the text.

Oh, and Microsoft also applied a number of error fixes, while there are some confirmed problems that are all listed in the usual blog post in which the content of Build 22635,4950 is listed.

Analysis: almost by testing now

All of this is of course only tested, and if the testing of a certain element does not work, this function can be dropped. However, I would imagine that this is unlikely because these two new introductions are useful and welcome.

A simpler file approval must be good, and I can't see anyone who can argue with more selection in the start menu -layout. If you do not want to distinguish the “All Apps” panel from the standard list, you do not have to approach the alternatives.

It is also worth considering that these functions are not far from reaching the beta channel. There is only one further step -final tests in the release preview -Canal -before this functionality can be provided in the finished version of Windows 11.

In fact, the move with the start menu layouts was previously discovered by dug up in Test Builds in the past. It is therefore easy to see that wearing (the above reservations are taken into account).
