Miguel Cullen's enthusiastic poetry, which is to be released in March

This multimedia homage to the British Rave culture is a poem book with a turn.

The British poet Miguel Cullen has published In dreams of reduced responsibilityHis fourth collection of poems. The book continues Cullen's distinctive approach to mixed word with multimedia and leads readers on a journey through a fragmented, surreal landscape of mental health, mythology and modern culture.

In this collection, Cullen deals with his own schizo -affective diagnosis and uses his personal experience with mental health to lead readers through a fantastic consequence of poems. Topics of sex, drugs and mythology can be seen prominently, with references to everything from George Orwell and Pope Urban I to Robert de Niro and the district line. The collection reflects Cullen's ability to bring different elements together and create a world in which historical, literary and pop culture references come together.

As with his previous collection, hologramCullen integrates Multimedia into the book and improves the physical object with a sound chip that is embedded in the back. The chip plays rehearsals from a Jungle -Rave from 1998 in Leicester, where fireworks opened during the event, led panic that was too widespread. This sound mix with poetry gives the reading experience a new dimension and steers on Cullen's continued effort to challenge the traditional limits of the book.

Cullen's style is characterized by an unorthodox mix of irony, surrealism and sharp observation. Critics notice the “lawless energy” of his work, in particular his connection to the Rave culture. VICE described his poems as “full of lawless energy in late nights and early in the morning” while Area Praised the collection for its “psychedelic modernity” and the way they combine “myths in language, medium and form”.

I

n many species, In dreams of reduced responsibility Building on the subjects that Cullen researched in previous collections, such as: Wave caps And Paranoid narcissism!while the limits of poetry can reach. It is proof of Cullen's belief in the power of poetry, with shape, language and media to experiment in order to create an immersive experience to the reader.

The collection will have an influence among fans of contemporary poetry and anyone who is interested in the interface between language, art and technology.
