Milwaukee police publishes from Isaiah Stott Shooting

The Milwaukee police published the film material for the shootout of a 24-year-old Milwaukee man who was killed after seeing how he fired a rifle on the street and injured an official in February.

The Milwauke police authority published the film material from the February 12th and the five video clips showing Isaiah Stott, who shot after the shot on the police and fall after the shot. The shootout took place near North 27th Street and the West Wisconsin Avenue with drivers nearby.

“He only focused on a weapon on us, he only pointed out a weapon,” you can hear a voice that spoke in a video about a police radio.

Each of the five clips – a combination of body and dash camera – film material and apparent safety material – is less than a minute long, while the arrival and shooting of the police with stott shows. Two officials find STOTT quickly and before the officers leave the vehicle, a voice about a police vehicle demands that they should be careful. Soon afterwards, they let the vehicle and the officials scream that Stott lets the weapon fall while shots ringing.

At some point, an official who seems to be injured for the person runs with a shotgun, while the other official uses the police vehicle as a cover when shooting.

“Officer below, officer below”, you can hear an officer who says.

A video that apparently seems to build safety material and has no sound shows Stott in the area in which the shootout took place. Cars can be seen that drive away from shooting before Stott falls to the ground.

Another video, which also seems to be a surveillance camera from a building and has no sound, shows Stott from before the shootout. He will run with a rifle and a dog runs past him. At some point he seems to fire the rifle into the air.

Stott shot and injured Daniel Gonzales, a 34-year-old police officer in Milwaukee, who has been in the department for over eight years. Gonzales was released from the hospital on February 19, and his partner, who was not identified, was shot and killed. Gonzales was shot into the side of his chest and calf.

The shootout took place a day after the interaction with the police outside a Milwaukee church. In this incident, the man wanted to enter a church to remove them from “evil”, and the security told the police, he threatened them. The police viewed him as an emotional need.

Members of the police and the district assessment of the district rated Stott on this day and considered him to be involuntary mental health.

The videos on Thursday were released 15 days after Stott's shooting. This corresponds to a department directive that came into force in July 2024 and publicly published the recordings of critical incidents within 15 days and can access the film material privately within 48 hours of the police.

The OAK Creek Police Department examines the suspects. All recommended charges would be transferred to the Milwaukee district prosecutor, Kent Lovern, who would make an indictment decision.
