MLGW CEO publishes an explanation with 2,300 still without electricity | News

Memphis, tenn. -Since the middle -south -mid -süd -Süd -the consequences of the mighty storms that blow through the region on Friday evening, were still without power thousands of people in the region on Saturday evening.

The President and CEO of MLGW, Doug McGowen, published an explanation on the concerns of the customers on Saturday when the supply company works to restore the power supply of those who are still affected by the storms. It is said:

March 15, 2025 evening update:

Guide, guide,

Our crews have spread it overnight and today, but a large number of relatively small individual failures. Since the storm of the windstorm yesterday and this evening, 25,918 customers with a climax of 7,825 have been affected at any time. From this point on, we are at 2,300 remaining and will continue to work to restore them. The main cause of failures was lightning strikes, followed by wind/trees/branches.

Our Linecrews and Unruhs are aware of the remaining failures and were assigned to troubleshooting or repairing. As a reminder, we start restoring failures that have a matter of most customers and work towards individual failures. We will have the vast majority this evening, but despite our best efforts, there will be a small number that will only be restored tomorrow.

One question that some of their voters may have: “The rain has stopped, the sun is out and the storm has passed. Why did I just lose power?”

Short answer: An MLGW crew has probably excreted on its circuit so that a line crew can certainly access and repair a failure near you. This is a temporary measure so that the crews can quickly make a repair. If this is complete, the electricity for everyone in this area can be restored.

Details for those who want it: Each circuit has three separate phases (lines), A, B and C, each phase serves several hundred customers. If there is a failure in phase A, customers continue to have electricity in phases B and C. However, if the crew arrives to fix the problem in phase A, you may have to temporarily secure the performance of phases B and C so that you can safely access and determine the phase -a line.

Always available to answer questions.

Thank you for your continued support.

Respectful,

Though

Doug McGowen
