Mobile home fire in Spanner kills 1 person, replaces four more

A mobile home fire last night in Spanaway led to the death of a person and left four other displaced persons, said Central Pierce Fire & Rescue.

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue Crews came in the 21800 block of 58th Ave. E. at 10:53 p.m. on arrival in the areas 58th Ave.

Witnesses told the firefighters that a person could have been caught in the mobile home. According to CPF & R, the crews presented themselves with challenges in combating the fire due to active power lines and burning propane tanks.

Despite these obstacles, the fires were finally brought under control.

The crews found one person dead in the mobile home. The house is considered a total loss, and four occupants were displaced as a result of the fire.

Pierce County's firefighter will examine the incident.
