Montgomery Park announces spring/summer open parkways -time plan

Montgomery Parks all reminds us that we jump forward this weekend, and that means the beginning of the spring/summer lessons for the open parkways.

The Sligo Creek Parkway between the Old Carroll Avenue and the Piney Branch Road will be in a changed schedule due to the purple line. Click here to learn more about this change.

Spring/summer open parkways schedule (begins Friday, March 7):

• Beach ride between Knowles Avenue and Cedar Lane (2.2 miles) and
  Sligo Creek Parkway Between Forest Glen Road and University Boulevard West

• • Fridays at 9 a.m. to Sunday at 6 p.m.

• Sligo Creek Parkway Between the Old Carroll Avenue and the Piney Branch Road
  • Saturday at 7 a.m. to Sunday at 6 p.m.

*Please note: Gate closings should be completed according to the times listed above. The reopening of the parkways begins at the times listed above. However, this process can take up to 30 minutes. These hours can change in the federal holidays. Please visit Montgomeryparks.com for details.
