Honor of a space flight symbol

The Speedmaster only secured its place in space history after NASA challenged the watchmakers to prove the stability of their timepieces under extreme conditions. Only Rolex, Longines and Omega dared their watches through strict tests, including extreme temperature fluctuations and moisture ratings.

Ultimately, only the Speedmaster survived on March 1, 1965 and became the official watch from NASA – a title that he still retains.
