More than 50 universities that are examined according to warnings about the practices

More than 50 universities are examined by the Ministry of Education

The examination is carried out for almost a month after public schools and universities have been warned to end the guidelines for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) or risked federal financing.

“The department is working on reorganizing the enforcement of civil rights to ensure that all students are protected against illegal discrimination,” said Minister of Education Linda McMahon in a statement. “The pupils must be assessed according to earnings and achievements that are not coincided by the color of their skin. We will not give in to this commitment.”

The universities examined have partnerships with the doctoral project, a non -profit organization that helps students from underrepresented groups to have deals in business in order to diversify the business world.

However, department officials accuse the group to restrict the authorization on the basis of the racing of the participants.

The 45 universities dealing with the use of the doctoral project include universities such as Arizona State, Ohio State and Rutgers as well as renowned private schools such as Yale, Cornell, Duke and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Six other universities are examined because they have “allegedly inadmissible racial -based scholarships”, and another is accused of having carried out a program that separated the students on the basis of the breed “.

These seven are: Grand Valley State University, Ithaca College, the New England College of Optometry, the University of Alabama, the University of Minnesota, the University of South Florida and the University of Tulsa School of Medicine.

In the letter of February 14, Craig Trainor, deputy secretary for civil rights, alleged schools “toxic indoctrinated students” have a “false premise” that the USA is based on “systemic and structural racism”. He claimed that the supporters of DEI practices had used the DEI label to include “racist stereotypes and explicit racial awareness” in school programs, training courses and discipline methods.

The memo is questioned in federal lawsuits from the country's two largest teaching unions. The suits say that the memo is too vague and violates the educators' freedom of speech.
