Mothers up to 20-year-old chillen, Texas women who were killed when crashed open up the loss

Killen, Texas (KWTX) – The mothers of two young women who died on Sunday in a car accident have opened since they lost their daughters.

Melanie Warren and Tricia Ludwig's friendship have formed through grief. “We will make a pact to get through it together,” says Warren.

At the weekend, her two 20-year-old daughters, Jaliyah Stevenson and Jessica Ludwig, were killed in a car accident near Hamilton.

“It was the worst day of my life,” says Ludwig. “That was and will probably always be the worst day of my life,” Warren agreed.

The only smile is able to crawl through the sadness when they talk about their girls.

“She was a sunbeam,” says Ludwig about her daughter Jessica. “Jaliyah always smiled, she was just so cute,” says Warren.

The young women found themselves at a time when both went a new chapter.

“They met in 9th grade, they were both cheerleaders on the Killen High School and even after completing their end, they remained really good friends. They were just really good friends. They really loved themselves so much, ”explain Ludwig and Warren.

And this friendship was a constant through all changes in life.

“Jaliyah is cheers for college,” says Warren. “She would move next week and just engaged on Valentine's Day,” says Ludwig about Jessica.

The effects of these girl personalities, ambitions and friendships on others help her family to assert themselves.

“We knew that they were loved, especially from the Killen ISD community, but I didn't know that it was so big,” says Warren.

Gofundme accounts have been set up for both Stevenson and Ludwig.
