MPD representative who is examined for the shooting driver while he is out of operation

The non-servant MPD detective allegedly took out his service monkey and shot the other driver after a crash around 1 a.m.

Washington-a man was in the hospital on Saturday after being shot in Southeast DC by a spokesman for the department by a non-servant Metropolitan Police Deper DC in Southeast DC.

“The adult man became aware of a regional hospital and breathed for the treatment of non -life -threatening injuries,” said MPD on Saturday.

The shootout occurred after a car accident around 1 p.m. on Saturday. Both the non -servant detective and the other driver got out of their cars after the crash and started to fight, according to MPD.

The free MPD detective then supposedly shot the other driver with her weapon of service.

“An argument occurred,” said MPD. “During the argument, the non -servant detective fired his service weapon and hit the other driver.”

The shootout occurred on the 1800 block of the Potomac Avenue, Southeast.

The Bureau and the Investigative Services Bureau from MPD took over the investigation, which led to the shootings on Saturday.

The detective was transferred to administrative leave during the examination. This is a guideline that is set up every time an MPD officer shoots someone.

In view of the fact that the official was not free of service, the shootout was not included by a police camera according to MPD.
