Ms. donates kidney to the DATA ball until 35 years later | Cost 103.5

About 35 years ago, Shawn Moyer asked for someone to promote his prom in the high school, but was rejected, so that a backup date was required. Elena Hershey was there for him at the time and is now a kidney donor here years later. Shawn's wife has already donated a kidney, so Elena saved him again as a backup. Hershey now lives in Colorado when she heard about Moyer's story of a common friend in Pennsylvania, where she originally met. She decided to turn to see if you would be a match. The two were not qualified to share organs, but through a program at the University of Pittsburgh's Medical Center, Moyer was able to advance to a kidney transplant in exchange for Hershey's donation. Due to her contribution, Moyer was able to make his matching kidney faster than normal. According to the United Network for Organ Parts, around 90,000 Americans are waiting for a kidney transplant with almost 11 people who die every day while waiting for you. The majority of healthy people can live a normal life with a kidney, but it is a big question, so Hershey's donation was selfless and special. Below you will find a video about the inspiring story.
