About 35 years ago, Shawn Moyer asked for someone to promote his prom in the high school, but was rejected, so that a backup date was required. Elena Hershey was there for him at the time and is now a kidney donor here years later. Shawn's wife has already donated a kidney, so Elena saved him again as a backup. Hershey now lives in Colorado when she heard about Moyer's story of a common friend in Pennsylvania, where she originally met. She decided to turn to see if you would be a match.
