Mt. Vernon opens the section game … IHSA time plan this evening

The semi -finals of the IHSA Boys Basketball section is tonight and tomorrow.

In class 3a this evening MT Vernon goes to Marion to take over Triade at 7 p.m. The winner will drive the final on Friday against the winner of tomorrow evening between Centralia and East St. Louis. Champaign Central competes against Chatham Glenwood in Eisenhower tonight. The winner gets either Lincoln or MT Zion who play tomorrow.

In class 1a this evening Dieterich competes against Tuscola in Red Hill. The winner will play in the final on Friday between St. Anthony and Webber between St. Anthony and Webber. Goreville will also compete against Okawville this evening and tomorrow it will be Waltonville and Mound's Meridian.

In 2a this evening in Carterville Breese Central will compete against Benton at 7 p.m. The winner will get the winner of tomorrow between Althoff and Vienna. Teutopolis also converted Monticello to Tolono Unity tonight, with the winner in the final receiving either Lawreceville or Warrenburg Latham. In Greenville tonight, Auburn plays Plains and tomorrow it is Williamsville and Staunton.

Quincy and Alton play in Collinsville in 4a tonight. The other semi -finals are in Pekin between the normal community and Rock Island this evening.
