A murder examination is underway after a man was shot in Greenwood County.

On Saturday at 9:16 a.m., the Coroner office of the Greenwood County reacted to a house in the Balsam Lane in Greenwood, South Carolina, regarding a death examination.

On arrival, the forensic doctor found a man in the house who apparently seemed to have died on a single gunshot wound.

The forensic doctor identified the victim as a 24-year-old Johnny Frank Covington III.

According to the forensic doctor, Covington's death was ruled as a murder.
