Myrtle Beach Mann, who was arrested in Lowcountry due to a criminal request for a minor indictment

Myrtle Beach, SC (WMBF) – A man from Myrtle Beach has difficulties with the law after being accused of sexually exploiting a minor.

Alan Wilson, Attorney General of South Carolina, announced that investigators of the internet crimes against the children's task force arrested Eric Phifer on Friday.

Phifer is accused of acquiring a person he considered a minor for sex. He supposedly also sent the minors sexually explicit pictures.

Phifer faces three cases of the criminal request of a minor and a number of attempted distribution of obscene material to one person under the age of 18.

If Phifer is convicted of all charges, he could see up to 40 years in prison. The General Prosecutor's office is pursuing the case.

Charleston County's prison shows that Phifer was released from prison on Saturday after a bond of $ 40,000.
