NASCAR goes to the Atlanta Motor Speedway: How to see Ambetter 400 for free, time, channels

With Daytona in the rearview mirror, the Nascar drivers drove to Atlanta for the second race of the cup season.

Much of the attention for today's race will fall on Chase Briscoe, who won the Pole for Daytona 500 of the past week and then took fourth place before Nascar announced on Wednesday that Briscoe has a modified spoiler on Toyota No. 19 used in the Toyota. Joe Gibbs Racing was docked 100 driver/owner points and 10 playoff points and was fined with a fine of $ 100,000. The crew boss James Small was also suspended for four races.

Small still coordinates Briscoe's plan for today's race, as the team brings on against the devastating punishments. Briscoe had a negative 67 points and fell from 10th to 39th in the overall ranking.

“You know that if we do not win the appeal, you somehow used up your gauze gans,” Briscoe told The Associated Press.

Brisco recognized “I was amazed” on Wednesday before he realized that he had to contact the Atlanta race with the same goal for his Toyota No. 19.

Daniel Suarez won in Atlanta last February and displaced Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch in Atlantas Engster Finish. Suarez defeated Blaney only 0.003 seconds, the closest edge on a 1.5 mile route.

Logano won the second race of Atlanta last year at the Nascar playoffs kick -off.

Blaney won the pole on Saturday for the race on Sunday. Two other Team Penske drivers, Austin Cindric and Joey Logano, will start second and fourth place.

“Hopefully you can control the first phase, but the whole race will not stay that way,” said Blaney about the potential of teammates to help each other.

Briscoe qualified in his Toyota in 25th place. Suarez will start 29th place.

Josh Berry qualified as third place when Ford drivers made 10 of the top 11 places in the line -up. Kyle Busch qualified in his Chevrolet sixth for Richard Childress Racing.
