NC State Football takes another step for the four-star Jamarcus Whyce

The defender of Trotwood-Madison High School (Ohio), Jamarcus Whyce, landed an offer from Dave Doeren, head coach of the NC State Football head coach, in mid-January. About two months later, the Wolfsack is one of the 6-foot 3-270 pound four-star top 12.

Whyce, which is currently stacking in 362 and number 32 among defensive lines in the 2026 on3 industry ranking, unveiled his survivors on Monday evening. In addition to the NC State, he is still considering Tennessee, Louisville, West Virginia, Illinois, Michigan State, Auburn, Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, Indiana and Maryland.

As a junior, the 17-year-old Whyce ended with 64 duels, 13.5 for a loss and seven sacks.

The 2026 collection of the NC State Football has doubled to four commitments since Doeren & Co. has officially started fighting in Jamarcus Whyce. Each of the early wolf sack prices in the cycle is from the three-star variety, and none of them are a defender.
