The Coogs basketball team will play against number 16 in the region of the Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville.

Round 1 for Houston will take place this coming Thursday, March 20, in the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. The winning team goes into the second round on Saturday, March 22nd, in the Intrust Arena.

This year, the seventh invitation of the NCAA tournament in a row in a row and its third year in a row marked as No. 1.
