New Bedford's official South Coast Rail plane

Boston (WBSM) – The official schedule has now been published for the South Coast Rail Commuter Rail Service, which connects New Bedford, River and Taunton case.

After decades in the creation, the billion dollar project has finally been completed and is expected to start service on March 24th until the final approval of the federal government.

It has already been announced that there will be a total of 32 daily trips to and from the south station in Boston, and now we know exactly when these trains should run.

How many commuters drive from and to New Bedford?

On weekdays, 14 trains from New Bedford and 15 trains will take place from Boston to New Bedford.

How much does it cost to drive South Coast Rail?

The route is in Zone 8, so that a disposable tariff according to Boston is $ 12.25 with a reduced rate of $ 6 for seniors and disabled people. On weekends and public holidays, the normal tariff is 10 US dollars. Children under the age of 11 or people who are police officers, firefighters, military or legal blind to ride free of charge.

Free trips on weekends and free parking spaces until April

The MBTA previously announced that it offers free weekend trips and free parking spaces every day from the start of South Coast Rail from until the end of March to the end of April as “thanks” to residents who have been waiting for the rail service for so long, and also to promote the driver.
