Union Minister Mohol pointed out that the growing population of Pune and the increasing number of cases have significantly stressed the judicial system and that the new criminal court in Yerawada will help to alleviate the overload in the event of existing courts, including the premises of the Shivajinagar Court.

Justice Revati Mohite-Dire has emphasized the urgent need for new dishes due to increasing legal disputes. She said that there are two new buildings within the Shivajinagar Court -one with 14 court halls and the other that is dedicated to eight Pocso dishes (protection of children from sexual crimes). The newly opened Yerawada building will accommodate 28 court halls. She said that the state government quickly provided the necessary funds for the judicial infrastructure.
