New details that were published by the officers who led to Swat-Standoff

San Antonio – The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) has published further information about an official who became a Swat patent situation at an illegal drinking place after the wedding on the southwest side.

The shootout occurred on Sunday morning around 12:30 p.m. near the corner of the Southwest Military Drive and the Whitewood Street near JBSA-Kelly Field Annex.

According to SAPD, hidden and uniformed officers in marked patrol vehicles carried out monitoring at an illegal drinking company after the business time at the listed location.

When an officer of the establishment approached the establishment, a shot was fired from the inside to the officer. An officer saw a suspect who held a firearm through a back door and ordered him to drop his gun. Then the police said that the suspect had increased the firearm in the direction of the officer.

The officer fired his gun and beat the suspect. The injured suspect then entered the establishment and barricaded himself with the firearm.

After a while, other people left the building, but the suspect remained inside. Swat and negotiation teams came and after a few hours the suspect came out and was taken into custody. The suspect was brought to a local hospital in stable state.

SAPD identified the officials involved as officer Jose Claire, who worked with the department for six and a half years.
