The football program Lakeville welcomed a new captain for the upcoming football season and hired Anthony Higdon to take over the interim coach Anthony Bauer.

It is no secret that Lakeville Football has to struggle in the last seasons, since Higdon is the ninth head coach within 12 seasons. The last winning season in 2010 with a 5: 4 record.

Higdon's coaching experience includes Junior Versity-Trainer at Ortonville-Brandon, the Varsity Defensive Line/ offensive coordinator at Almont and Varsity Assistant/ strength and conditioning coach at Ortonville-Brandon.

Outside of football, Higdon studied sports medicine at the Eastern Michigan University and is the owner and head coach with a speed outbreak in Goodrich.
