New video published by Fatal Catskill Fire

New video was published from a tragic fire in Catskill, NY, that demanded the life of a Hudson Valley resident.

The fire in Main Street 477 was fought by numerous fire departments, including the Catskill Fire Company, the Cedar Grove Fire Company and numerous other agencies from Greene and Ulster Counties. New video was recently published from the scene.

The new video (below), shared by the Fire brigade of the city of Hudsonshowed a rarely seen tactic used by firefighters with almost every structural tax. The department also said that the video could help to dispel “misunderstandings” about how their ladder cars are used.

The dramatic film material, which was rotated from a body camera on a firefighter with chainsaws, shows the important task of roof ventilation. From the city of Hudson Fire Department:

Ventilation of a roof or even the upper story window is the task that is carried out in most fires [the tower ladder truck] reacts. The ventilation is an essential function for every working fire in order to release smoke and overlying gases, so that interior teams can effectively determine the seat of a fire and can carry out fire suppression with significantly reduced opportunities for combustion injuries.

The roof ventilation was only possible thanks to the tower conductor car, which the fire brigade of the city of Hudson, which was divided up to 100 feet.
