The NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reveals that the New York Rangers are preparing for some massive movements this low season, since they are currently in a dog stamp for the final wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference.

Although the hype seems to dominate the headlines to dominate the trading period, analysts in the NHL are already looking into the off -season.

The New York Rangers have an incredibly busy low season ahead of them, and Chris Drury will have bound his hands, which have unloaded some of his assets, with the greatest angry striker Chris Kreider.

According to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman, the Rangers are planning a few great steps in the summer.

Elliotte Friedman suggests massive movements outside of the season

Fans will remember in November when GM Chris Drury announced a fire sale in relation to ex-captain Jacob Troubba and striker Chris Kreider.

While Drury could move, Chris Kreider is a different story. Although Drury has not yet been able to act, all the signs indicate an inevitable trade in the low season.

Since Kreider's contract is unloaded, the Rangers have more flexibility in their budget to carry out important UFA obligations.

The new contracts by Igor Shesterkin and Alexis Lafreniere next season and there are a number of RFAS that have to be signed, but Reilly Smith is as good as this trading period and opens up more space.

It is feasible that the rangers could add another important piece in the summer in which the insider said that there could be big steps, but that would really affect contract discussions with RFAs if business is not carried out early in the low season.

Although the Rangers had a less than ideal campaign 2024-2025, the core of the team remains intact.

JT Miller was also an exciting addition, and Chris Drury should concentrate his energy on building around him.
