The return match is Newell's first appearance in the British independent scene in 8 years since the signing at WWE in 2017.

Before signing at WWE, Newell was a repeated champion in attack! Pro Wrestling, including 24/7 Champion and Tag team champion with the former WWE/TNA -Star and Lunas subculture Staffate Mark Andrews.
