NJ man with a long criminal past because of murder of woman, 26

A 43-year-old man from Mercer County, who was in prison 12 times ago, has now been accused of killing a 26-year-old woman in Middlesex County.

Victoria Lee from Plainsboro was reported as missing on January 30th.

The police searched for Lee for almost a month and recovered her body on Tuesday.

The investigators found that Rahim Johnson from Trenton lived with Lee and was the last person she saw alive.

Johnson was arrested on Wednesday and charged with the first degree murder, said Yolanda Ciccone, Middlesex County's public prosecutor.

It was also charged with the illegal possession of a third -degree weapon, the possession of a weapon fourth degree for an illegal purpose and violation of the probation of the fourth degree.

Previously, Johnson was imprisoned for more than a year from April 2023 to October 2024.

His history of prison extends at least June 2002 due to crimes, including burglary, assault, children's risk and resistance to arrest, as from the state's records.

The police initially did not share where Lee was found, or further details of their death.
