No. 11 Oregon Baseball Shaatter's Program leads record in the double header sweep of Columbia

Oregon Baseball smashed the program record for runs in a double header -Weep from Columbia.

Maddox Molony and Ryan Cooney each had six RBIs to run six players with Multi-Rbis in a 35-1 win for the No. 11 Ducks, who scored the second game 8: 3 behind eight strike outs over 6.2 innings by Collin Clarke on Saturday afternoon.

Oregon scored in seven out of eight frames at the start, including nine in the third, eight in sixth and six in eighth place.

Molony (3 for 4) scored two homes and Cooney (4 for 4) and Jacob Walsh (five RBIs) also went for the ducks who had 25 hits.

Oregon (9-2) exceeded his earlier record record of 23 runs in a game that was last reached on June 4, 2022 against St. John's.

Jason Reitz allowed a run with three goals and two walks over 4.0 Innerings in a non-decision. Michael Meckna (2-0) allowed a goal and a walk over 3.0 goalless innings with winners.

In the second game, Coen Niclai met a Homer with two runs and Carter Garate added an RBI single in the second.

Anson Aroz met in the third, Niclai in the fifth run and Mason Neville scored a two-run shot in sixth place to score 7-0.

Columbia (1-5) broke three runs in the seventh Clarke, who allowed five goals and two walks.

Dominic Hellman added a solo explosion in the eighth.

The teams complete the four-game series on Sunday at noon.
