No. 3 Florida increases March Madness Resume with home win over No. 12, Texas A & M.

Last season, Florida head coach Todd Golden consistently confirmed the point that the then Guard Will Richard was one of the nation's best 3-point shooters.

Golden's assessment of Richard never looked more accurate with a double bye in the SEC tournament and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, which is potentially at stake.

More than 24 hours before Tippoff, UF students had already set up tents in front of Stephen C. O'Connell center for the edition of College Gameday the next morning.

At 4:52 of the second half, Richard injected a deep ball to put the Gator in the lead at 14 and put the GameDay camp into madness.

“My team does a good job to find me,” he said. “[I’m] Only use that. “

In one of the most important and expected games of the season in Florida in Florida, the Gators (25-4, 12-4 seconds) answered with an 89-70 victory against No. 12 A&M (20-9, 9-7) in Stephen C. O'Connell Center on Saturday.

Richard pursued his 30-point performance against Georgia with 25 points to run all goal scorers. He was also an efficient 6-von 9 behind the bow and got six rebounds.

UF in the second year, Thomas Hagh, followed with 17 points at 7-of-10 shooting from the field. Senior Guard Alijah Martin and the second striker Alex Condon rounded Florida's leading goal scorers with 14 or 11 points.

“I'm just incredibly proud of the way we played and our ability to somehow get away from them in the end,” said Golden.

Texas A&M got used to his aggressive style of play this season and used it to use an early advantage. Back-to-of-back bucket in the color gave A&M a 7: 3 lead of less than two minutes.

Uf focused on Georgia's Georgia quickly starting to start quickly on Tuesday. Andersson Garcia, Senior striker from Tamu, resounded a 3 pointer that led to six minutes less than five minutes in Florida.

It took the gators against Uga until the second half to step into another equipment. On Saturday, shortly after A&M in the first few minutes, Florida caught fire.

Uf tore off an 11: 3 run that started with a fast break rinsing that broke out the O'Dome. Hagh had the hot hand in the middle of Florida in Florida and two deep balls less than a minute apart to give the Gator for eight minutes for a 19-17.

Florida never went behind from there. Hagh, Junior Center Micah Handlogten and Junior Guard Denzel Aberdeen combined three strong surfaces low to bring the advantage of UF at less than 10 minutes before half-time to 25-19.

Senior Guard Walter Clayton Jr. was quiet in the first half and only scored five points. But it's not just a security guard who makes Florida's elite, high-quality back court–three are three. Martin bury a few 3-pointer in the last four minutes of the opening period to bring the lead with 42: 29.

Richard followed just 15 seconds before half -time with a corner to give the Gator their greatest lead in the first half (14). A&M Senior Guard Zhuric Phelps, however, was fouled shortly before the buzzer, which lowered the deficit of the Aggies to 45-34, with a 3-point attempt.

It is not an easy task to capture one of the top teams in the SEC on a two-digit lead, but a Richard was ready in the second half. The Senior Guard injected a deep ball from the left wing and one of the right 44 seconds later, to give a 51-34 edge less than two minutes from the break.

A&M Senior Guard Wade Taylor IV. However, he was almost the first 23 minutes of the game goalless until he made a few free throws to reduce the deficit of the aggies to 51-40.

In the middle of the second half, the Gators tried the competition out of reach. The aggies, on the other hand, tried to raise a comeback on the street. However, this was not to be done for the time being.

Texas A&M made a 1-by-7 shoot, while Florida was 1: 8. That was until the Gator received an urgently needed spark from their bank. The Sophomore Guard Urban Klavzar achieved a 2-point jumper for the first field gate from UF for over two minutes. The bucket also gave the Gator some breath and kept a 58-49 edge with less than 12 minutes on the left.

Nevertheless, things were anything but comfortable in the last phases of the Matchup for Florida.

Taylor IV found its rhythm with a 2-point bucket and a 3-point 3 pointer far over the arch to reduce the lead from UF to just six minutes in the second half to just six minutes. Even then, Golden was defensively satisfied with the efforts of the Gator.

“I thought our boys did a great job at Wade Taylor IV tonight,” he said. “I thought we did a good job to keep him on him and work for everything.”

That was as close as Texas A&M would come to the Gators. Florida ended his curriculum vitae in the last three minutes with a 9-0 run, which was contested by a layup made by Condon and a transition from Hagh with a 9-0 run.

The ball movement proved to be massive for Florida's ability to hang almost 90 points on A&M. The Gator exhibited 21 templates in the three on the way to an efficient 32 of 67 (48%) excursion of the aggies from the ground and 14 of 33 (42%) from a 3-point range.

“21 templates against a team like A&M is a ridiculous number, and a large part of it was our ability to get into the teeth of the defense,” said Golden.

The slowdown of Taylor IV played a crucial role in the defensive track of UF. The Gators had the leading goal scorer from A&M to 11 points on 3 von-11 shootings from the field more than four points less than his average season. As a team, Florida kept the aggies out of the field in less than 40% and 30% from a distance.

UF will have little time to look forward to your great victory. Next
