North Penn, Towamencin Fire Companies, VMSC EMS receives state grant awards

The subsidy financing managed by the office of the state fire brigade commissioner can be used for renovation work, equipment, debt reduction, training and more.

The state MP Liz Hanbidge announced at the beginning of this month that five local fire brigade/EMS companies in their legislative district of Montgomery County received a total of 90,368 US dollars in state grants to improve their business and emergency efforts.

The financing is to be awarded as follows:

  • Center Square Fire Co.: $ 16,322.
  • North Penn Volunteer Fire Co.: $ 15.030.
  • Towamencin Volunteer Fire Co.: $ 15.246.
  • VMSC Emergency Medical Services (fire): $ 12.448.
  • VMSC EMS: $ 15,000.
  • Wissahickon Fire Co.: $ 16,322.

“Firefighters and Emts are always there for us when we need them, and this financing contributes to it and victims,” ​​said Hanbidge.
