Northeast Lincoln Apartment Building evacuated after the fire in the hallway

Lincoln, Neb. (Klkn) – Firefighters spent a fire in an apartment building in northeast of Lincoln early Wednesday morning.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue was called to a building near the 49th Street and the Walker Avenue near Nebraska Wesleyan University.

When the crews arrived, according to the battalion leader Aaron Pospisil, they saw smoke from the back of the building.

They went in and found a small fire in the hallway on the first floor, which was quickly deleted.

All of them were evacuated from the building and nobody was injured.

At this point, the investigators believe that the fire in the hall is contained.

The cause and the amount of damage are still being examined, said Pospisil.
