Norwegian football voices to maintain the video review to support referees

Oslo (AP) -Norwegian football has decided to continue to use video reviews to support the referees in his top league after a coordination at a congress of his National Soccer Federation on Saturday.

The application to keep VAR existed with 321 votes in favor of 129 to provide the technology used by most important competitions since it was officially introduced into the game in 2018.

The Norwegian Football Association brought in 2023 video technology, but some found their introduction as controversial because the decision was made before the clubs in Norway were able to represent a uniform position whether they wanted Var.

The fans also had protests after the first months of adoption took some reviews.

All active clubs that are active members of the Federation were able to vote together with the heads of the districts of the Federation and members of the Federation Committee. The vast majority of the election associations are not affected by Var, since the technology is only used in the top division.

If Norway had passed the video check, the VAR critics would probably have encouraged it in other countries.

The Premier League clubs voted in June to continue using Var after they had been asked to scrap the technology after the controversy last season. Sweden is one of the few countries in Europe that have decided against the introduction of Var into his league.

Var followers say that it reduces human error and makes the game more justified.
