Nine teachers and employees have been transferred from the Apalachee High School since the shootout of September 4, 2024, in which four people were killed in the interior.

For the context, we checked data from the previous year and learned five teachers in the same period who left the Apalachee High School.

One of the latest teachers who move out of the classroom is the head coach Mike Hancock.

His defense coordinator, Ricky Aspinwall, was one of the teachers who were killed during shooting in September.

“As a trainer, we are a proud group and often do not look for the help we need to get better. In order to be open and honest, I have to struggle with PTBs, fear, grief and depression, ”said Hancock.

A new personnel update could show more resignation numbers on Tuesday.

At that moment the next meeting of the education committee is planned.
