March 13, 2025

The opening day for the relocated ode of food and drinks was warm enough that the restaurant performed its terrace furniture.

“It's just a perfect day for our first day,” said owner Theresa Flannery Kramer on Wednesday. “The weather is fantastic and we were not really ready to have people on the terrace, but we pulled our furniture. We shaked it last night and laid it out. “

The new house of ODE is located in the former Falling Landing Bar & Grill Space in the Country Inn & Suites in the 200 Eightth St. the terrace of the restaurant over the Big Sioux River, just like in its decades of house in the original building on nearby Cherapa Place.

Ode moved over his equipment and furnishings after he was closed in Cherapa on February 22nd, and the employees quickly contributed to transforming the room with a black and white color scheme.

Long -term customers can find familiar details such as the Metal Hirschkopf statue on the wall and the house musician Dan Larson.

“We already see some areas in which we improve and a little more how we can do. Add some softness and beauty to him,” said Kramer.

Inside, the restaurant organizes 80 guests at tables, cabins and the bar, and the terrace can hold more than 100.

The menu is somewhat smaller than before, but has nine starters, nine buddies, a soup of the day, four salads and eight starters.

For lunch there are nine sandwiches, all of which can be served as salad packaging as well as chicken strips and chilshic baskets, which can be served four salads and combos of half a sandwich and buddy or a cup of soup and a house salad or caesar salad.

Kramer is pleased to reopen in time for the celebrations for St. Patrick's Day, who were a tradition at ODE and have already started stew, corned beef and kohl and other dishes presented with Guinness Irish.

The new location triggers the return of the plated weekend brunch from Ode, which ended during pandemic. Ode's Signature Bloody Mary Bar with three homemade mixtures and more than 40 ingredients for garnish is also to be returned. However, the ODE is in the process of transferring its spirits license to the new location so that it only serves beer and wine until the end of the month.

A bar station at the bar is devoted to craft beers of changed species -Aales, said Kramer's husband Bobby. The local brewery has increased production since its first beer was released in December, so that ODE will finally have five offers. The other bar station will mainly include local beers, he said.

“Especially in a hotel with travelers, they come in and it is like: 'What kind of local beer do you have?'”

The hours for the new location are on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Customers can enter the ODE from the hotel lobby or through the terrace door in the restaurant.
